Extending on the idea that won them the Yahoo! ‘agency hack’ contest, Webchutney has created an Android app called Peeloo that helps the user remotely check the occupation status of restrooms in the vicinity.
The app sends a notification to the user once the loo selected is vacant.
Watch the video of the case study here (story continues below).
Gurbaksh Singh, creative director, Webchutney, explained, "The user will have to download the app on his Android-based smart phone and install a hardware in his premises for the app to function."
Singh mentioned that the genesis of Peeloo came from the unnecessary commotion at Webchutney’s Delhi office where one would find all the loos occupied eight out of ten times on an average.
The digital agency is in negotiation with a few clients who have shown their interest in buying the hardware and getting the app installed in their phones for their respective offices.
Peeloo also functions via a website made on flash-based platform.
The app in Webchutney's office also allows one to ring a bell in the selected loo to alert the user at once.
