Conclusion:
While Hotjar is already doing a great job in terms of attracting visitors, there are significant gaps to be filled:
- Increasing unique visitors: This will be done by identifying new keywords which can be optimized. Currently, our closest competitor is Clarity which has 1.2M keywords optimized. Potentially all high-intent keywords can be tapped into to increase the already decently optimized SEO route discovery.
- Reducing bounce rate: An ~52% bounce rate indicates that almost half of the audience is coming with a need that is not being met. Content on the website and other relevant places such as guides, blogs, etc. needs reoptimizing to reduce this and continue to build on Hotjar’s presence as a thought leader.
